Compare Ordering food UX flows
Compare captured ordering food UX flows across apps, side by side. Preview the interfaces and follow each available sequence.
Domino’s: Order food for delivery
The core ordering goal. One approved variant so far: an unauthenticated guest ordering a pizza for delivery to a newly entered address, ending at the checkout-ready cart.
Domino’s: Order food for takeaway pickup
Self-pickup ordering: the home order-mode strip switches to Takeaway, an outlet picker replaces the delivery address as the fulfilment choice, and the same cart activity renders a pickup checkout with an outlet block and no delivery fee. One approved guest variant, now backed by a single continuous launch-rooted capture that creates the cart itself; store availability is per-outlet and time-of-day dependent, so the picker can be entered because the nearest outlet is offline.
Domino’s: Order food to eat at the restaurant
Dine-in ordering: the home order-mode strip switches to Dine-in, which forces a city-first 'All Restaurants' directory as the fulfilment choice, then returns to a store-bound home and the shared menu and cart, whose checkout renders a 'Dine-in at <outlet>' row with CHANGE. No table, seat or slot selection surface exists anywhere in the guest flow, and no login gate appears. One approved guest variant.
Domino’s: Order food to a train seat
A self-contained IRCTC surface (CheckPNRActivity) opened from the home order-mode strip: a PIZZA ON YOUR SEAT explainer, a single 'Enter PNR to get started' field, an IRCTC ordering-terms consent checkbox, SUBMIT, an IRCTC ORDER HISTORY row and the IRCTC T&C block. One approved guest variant, which reaches the mandatory-PNR identity gate; no address, outlet, menu or cart surface is reachable in this mode without a real passenger PNR.
Swiggy: Build food order
Start from the signed-in Home, choose a restaurant and item, review customization and the configured cart, inspect payment options, then stop before the Pay action that would place or financially authorize the order.
