Compare Editing Profile UX flows side by side
bigbasket: Add email
Attach an email address to the signed-in grocery account. The app starts behind a sponsored advertisement and settles on the store home; the profile icon opens My Account, the pencil on the profile card opens Update Profile showing name, mobile number and an empty Email field, and its pencil opens the Update Email sheet. Submitting the typed address does not attach it: the app opens Verify Email Address asking for a six-digit code sent to that mailbox, with Continue disabled and a resend countdown. No code could be read in this environment, so the account email was left empty and the task stops at that verification gate.
ixigo: Save home location
From the signed-in account menu, open My Profile, add Pune as Home Location, save the update, and reopen the editor. The success message and the settled profile confirm that completeness rose from 60% to 70% and Pune was retained.
JioSaavn: Update my profile status
Open Edit Profile from Settings, enter a new status, save it, and reopen the profile to confirm it persisted.
Purplle: Edit profile
From the signed-in storefront, open the header avatar menu, go to My Account and use Edit Profile to change a saved personal detail. The Full Name field replaces its whole value rather than appending, so the recorded edit changed the saved name from 'Aarav' to 'Researcher'. Email, birthday and gender stay editable while the mobile number is locked. Update Profile stays disabled until a value changes; after saving, My Account re-renders with the new name and the app's own 'User Details Updated' confirmation.
